Services at VIMO
We are providers of adult general medicine. Children are referred to Peninsula Children's Clinic.
Our services include:
- Treatment of acute and chronic illness
- Health screening and health education
- Hypertension/blood pressure check
- Diagnostic tests
- Prescriptions
- Diabetic testing and education
- Primary care, including outpatient management of diabetes and hypertension
- Prevention and some cancer screening
- Mental health assessment
- Minor acute care and minor trauma
- Outpatient laboratory blood and urine testing
- Prescription assistance in obtaining chronic care medications from pharmaceutical companies
- Prescription Assistance with generic medications
VIMO does not offer the following services:
- Pediatric care
- HIV or STD screening
- Outpatient GYN services
- travel medicine
- fertility testing/treatment
- pre-employment drug screening
- obstetrics or paternity testing
- routine immunizations for children
- eye exams on site
- chiropractic or naturopathic care
- substance abuse treatment
- emergency or major trauma services.
Referrals
We make referrals to appropriate specialists. You may be responsible for some payment. However, some services will be referred to other providers or agencies in the community:
- Children will usually be referred to the Peninsula Children’s Clinic.
- Immunization requests will be referred to Clallam County Health Department
- Obstetrics will be referred to local providers.
- Laboratory Work and X-Rays
- You will be referred to Olympic Medical Center for most lab tests and x-rays.
- Results are usually available within 24 hours or on the next clinic open day. You may be responsible for payment for some types of services.
Appointments
Appointments are preferred for Monday and Thursday medical clinics. However walk-in patients are accepted on a space available basis on those two days. Please call for appointments only on all other services.

Payment
Beginning January 1st, 2008, a $5 administrative fee will be charged for each visit—payable at the time of the visit. By paying a small fee, patients will be helping to cover some of our operating costs and keep their clinic open. We ask that those of you who are able to make a more significant donation, to please do so to help us continue to offer these services and keep the clinic open.
Clinic Staffing
Medical providers are state licensed and volunteer their time. The clinic is fully staffed by volunteers.
